FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Methodist University director of athletics, Bob McEvoy, presented the cheerleading team their USA South Athletic Conference championship rings on Friday.

The Monarchs won their first title since the conference reinstated the championship in 2007. Methodist won with 401 points while Christopher Newport finished second at 388.

McEvoy awarded the team their rings following a pep rally Friday morning.
