ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - Regionally ranked N.C. Wesleyan jumped out to the quick 3-0 lead after doubles before finishing with the 9-0 win over Methodist Wednesday.

Steve Strawn and Ricky Aybar lost 8-2 at number three doubles and Reid Baker and Steven Burkett lost 8-2 at number two. Matthew Taylor and Robert Clayton battled to the 8-4 loss at number one.

Taylor lost 6-4, 6-3 at number one singles and Clayton lost 6-0, 6-2 at number two. Baker lost 6-0, 6-0 at number three and Warren Robinson lost 6-1, 6-1 at number four. Eric Smith lost 6-0, 6-0 at number five and Burkett lost 6-0, 6-1.

Methodist will take the road this weekend for matches at Virginia Wesleyan, Christopher Newport and Averett.
