LaGrange Comes From Behind to Slip by Salisbury

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Salisbury took the early lead, but LaGrange came from behind to slip by with a 3-1 win.

Salisbury scored first when Chad Wolfe hit a home run over the left field fence in the bottom of the second inning, but LaGrange came back to take the 2-1 lead in the fourth. David Miller and Craig Mobley had back-to-back singles bfore Brent Kinsey advanced both runners with a sacrifice. Dale Feldman scored Miller with a single up the middle and Mobley scored the go-ahead run with a sacrifice.

Eric Heath gave LaGrange the 3-1 lead with a home run in the seventh. Salisbury had runners on first and second with no outs in the bottom of the inning before James Yancey came into pitch and struck out his first batter and forced Salisbury's Tim Kellinger into a double play to hold the lead.

Robby Williams went six innings on the mound for the win with Yancey pitching 2.2 before James Connell used one pitch to pick up the save.

Kyle Starr pitched seven innings for Salisbury to take the loss while Drew Baldwin pitched two scoreless innings of relief.

Kinsey led LaGrange at the plate hitting 2-for-3 while Matt O'Keefe was 2-for-3 for Salisbury.

LaGrange advances to play the winner of Mary Washington and York while Salisbury will face Bridgewater.
