FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Methodist lacrosse team earned its second straight win on Sunday with a 19-8 victory over Agnes Scott College.
Agnes Scott took the early 3-1 lead, but after a Methodist timeout, the Monarchs went on to score three straight goals to lead 4-3. The Scotties came back with two goals to regain the lead at 5-4, but Methodist finished the half on a 5-1 run to lead 9-6 at the break.
Methodist dominated the second half out scoring Agnes Scott 9-3.
Amber Jurkovac scored three goals during the half to help the Monarchs to the 18-9 win.
Jurkovac and
Abby Harmon both had four goals and two assists to lead the Monarchs.
Jasmine Stephens and
Brittany St. Jacques added three goals apiece.
Brittany Brockway scored two while
Jessie Earp and
Ashlea Weems each scored one.
Emily Forester had six saves for the Monarchs.
Methodist will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to Greensboro College for a 3:30 p.m. start.
