FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Methodist men's tennis team dominated Greensboro College on Thursday with a 9-0 win over the Pride.
The Monarchs took the early lead beginning with
Austin Wang and
Lawrence Salmon's 8-0 win at number three doubles.
Greg Patterson and
Robert Clayton earned the 8-0 win at number two before
Duncan Miller and
Hans Baumstark outlasted the Pride for the 8-6 win at number one.
Patterson finished first in singles with a 6-1, 6-0 win at number three. Wang clinched the match victory with a 6-1, 6-1 win at number four right before
Dillon Sullivan won 7-6, 6-1 at number five. Salmon won 6-1, 6-1 at number six and Baumstark won 6-0, 6-1 at number two. Miller finished the shut out with a 6-2, 6-0 win at number one.
Methodist will be back in action on Saturday when they host Ferrum and Coker beginning at 1 p.m.
