Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Methodist scored first, but Christopher Newport dominated the first half 15-2 before cruising to the 22-3 win.

Jasmine Stephens picked up the first draw control and drove in for the first goal in less than a minute. CNU came back with two quick goals, but
Hope Motahari tied the game up for the Monarchs with 27:55 remaining in the first half. The Captains shut down the Methodist offense and scored 13 straight to take a 15-2 lead at halftime.
Brittany St. Jacques scored the Monarchs' third goal with a free position shot midway through the second half, but Christopher Newport prevailed with the 22-3 win.
Catharine Savage made seven saves for Methodist. Hannah Wilkerson and Cassie Raithel had five and four saves respectively for CNU.
Methodist will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to Ferrum College.
