FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Originally scheduled to play on Saturday, Methodist (14-2, 3-0) and Ferrum men's tennis met Monday afternoon. The Monarchs made quick work of the Panthers earning the 9-0 win.
All three doubles teams picked up 8-0 wins.
Austin Wang and
Lawrence Salmon finished first at number three followed by
Greg Patterson and
Robert Clayton at number two.
Duncan Miller and
Hans Baumstark won at number one.
Wang,
Dillon Sullivan and Salmon earned 6-0, 6-0 wins at number four, five and six singles to give Methodist the 6-0 advantage. Baumstark and Patterson finished up at 6-0, 6-1 at number two and three before Miller wrapped up with a 6-0, 6-0 win at number one.
Methodist will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to Hampden-Sydney College for a 3:30 p.m. match.
