ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -- Methodist's men's tennis team saw a 16-match winning streak snapped by nationally ranked N.C. Wesleyan, 8-1, on Saturday afternoon.
The loss, the first blemish on MU's record this season, drops Methodist to 16-1 overall and 6-1 in the USA South, while NCWC improves to 10-7 overall and 7-0 in conference play.
Dillon Sullivan posted the lone Monarch win on the day, recording a 6-5, 6-2 win over Marcus Pola at No. 5 singles.
Methodist will conclude its regular-season schedule on Sunday at CNU beginning at 11:00 am.
