FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. --  The Methodist men's tennis team dropped its match versus N.C. Wesleyan, 5-4, on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Playing on their home courts, the Monarchs (8-6) claimed matches at No. 1, 5 and 6 singles as well as No. 3 doubles.
 
Duncan Miller won at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-1, and Max Mancini topped his competition, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, at No. 5. Teal Howard defeated his opponent, 1-6, 6-4, 10-5, at No. 6.
 
Howard and Mancini teamed up to win at No. 3 doubles, 8-6.
 
Up next for Methodist will be a home match against Connecticut College on Friday. The action will start at 3:30 pm.
