FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Methodist's men's tennis team rolled to a 9-0 win over Piedmont on Saturday afternoon at Gene Clayton Courts.

The Monarchs moved to 8-4 on the season and remained perfect in the USA South at 5-0. Piedmont is now 5-7 overall and 2-3 in the league.

Following a sweep of doubles play for an early 3-0 lead, MU swept all six singles matches including a pair of close matches.
R.J. Clement rallied for a 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) win at No. 1, and
Max Mancini held on for a 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) win at No. 6.

The Monarchs are back in action on Wednesday at William Peace beginning at 3:00 pm.
