GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Methodist men's tennis team responded to its first loss of the season by dropping Greenboro 9-0 on Saturday afternoon.

In doubles play, the Monarchs (7-1, 2-1) lost just four games across the three matches.
R.J. Clement and
Jacob Oehser defeated the team of Carlos Barragan and Daniel Pace, 8-3, at first doubles, while
Wynn Johnson and
John Dangerfield blanked Justin Kimball and Warren Washington 8-0. At the third slot,
Daniel Wolf and
Max Linder posted an 8-1 win against Ryan Mule and Kevin Nickel.

MU won all six singles matches in straight-sets and lost just three games. Clement, Dangerfield,
Brock Ebersole and
Joey Binder each recorded 6-0, 6-0 victories. Oehser defeated Pace, 6-2, 6-0, at the second position, while Johnson toppled Kimball 6-0, 6-1 at the third slot.

Tomorrow's match with Ferrum has been postponed with no new date announced. Methodist will return to action on March 18, at William Peace beginning at 10 am.
