FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The Methodist men's tennis team garnered a 9-0 win against Greensboro on Tuesday afternoon.

With the win, the Monarchs move to 8-1 on the year behind a 3-1 mark in conference play. Meanwhile, the Pride drop to 2-9 overall with a 1-5 record in league action.

In doubles, the team of
Jacob Groce and
Brock Ebersole tallied an 8-1 win against Carlos Barragan and Daniel Pace at the first slot, while
R.J. Clement and
Max Linder also powered to an 8-1 victory against Justin Kimball and Warren Washington at the second postion.
KJ Hardie and
Justin Tegen posted an 8-0 win at third doubles against Kevin Nickel and Jervis Garcia.

Clement opened singles play by claiming a 6-0, 6-0 score against Barragan at the first slot, before Groce tallied a 6-1, 6-2 victory against Kimball at the third slot.
John Dangerfield earned a 6-0, 6-1 win against Pace at second singles, while
Jack Holloway defeated Washington, 6-1, 6-4, at the fourth position.
Daniel Wolf posted a 6-1, 6-0 win against Garcia at the six slot before
Joey Binder closed out the shutout with a 6-2, 6-0 win at the fifth position.
