Box Score 2 HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- The Methodist men's tennis team picked up a pair of wins during its Spring Break trip to Hilton Head on Tuesday.

The Monarchs snapped their three-match losing streak and now stand at 3-3 on the season.

In the first match of the day against Wilkes,
Wynn Johnson and
Kayhahn Alikhani defeated Artyom Nabokin and Braddock Chow, 8-6, at second doubles, while RJ Clement and Hayden WIlfond dropped Andrew Neidig and Larry Scartz at the third spot, 8-5. The Monarchs held a 2-1 lead entering singles play.

Coleman Baker earned a 6-1, 6-1 win against Banokin at second singles, while
Trent Harner defeated Neidig, 6-2, 6-1, at the fourth slot. Wilfond moved by Chris Maderitz 6-2, 6-0 at fifth singles and
Ryan Jenne closed out singles with a 2-6, 6-1, 10-2 battled with Ryan Simon at sixth singles to set the match score to 6-3.

In a 6-3 win against Lebanon Valley, the Monarchs swept doubles play as
Wynn Johnson and Alikhani defeated Jordan Heavel and Blake Martin, 8-1, while the pairing of Baker and Hardner blanked Elliott Kleckner and Reed Morrie, 8-0.
Joshua Deutsch and
Max Linder finished the doubles sweep with an 8-2 count against Luke Senft and Ben Hinkley.

In sinlges action, Wilfong fought to a 4-6, 7-5, 10-2, win against Martin at the top position, while Jenne earned a 6-1, 6-2 win against Morris at the second slot. Deutsch defeated Kleckner 6-2, 6-0, at the fourth slot to give MU the 6-3 match win.
