Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.  Early morning action on Day 2 of the Methodist University Fall Invite rolled through early matches, but a nearly two-hour rain delay held up the proceedings until the skies let up from their diversionary storm.

Once play resumed, host Methodist and visiting teams from Averett University, Barton College, Guilford College and the University of Mount Olive took back to the courts to finish off seven flights of singles, which had all completed their opening rounds by the end of Friday's opening session.

The lone singles champion for Methodist was Kyle Klinek, who defeated teammate Alex Lycan, 8-3 in the championship match of Flight 7.

In that same flight, Samir Tewari earned a win in the seventh-place match.

Klinek had teamed up with Spencer Kieft before the rain to capture the Flight 4 doubles championship.

  • Tyler Kane won the fifth-place match in Flight 3
  • Both Lucas Dunlop and Henry Blanco dropped their semifinal matches in Flight 4

  • In Flight 3 of the doubles, Kane and Bradon Ly would win their semifinal match before dropping a narrow 8-6 decision in the flight's championship match
