LEXINGTON, Va. Methodist's men's and women's track & field team competed Friday in day one of the two day Virginia Military Institute Winter Relays for the team's second indoor meet this season.

OTHER TOP PERFORMANCES
- Cameron Schwartz competed in the men's heptathlon, completing four of the seven events on day one. Schwartz' best performance of the day was in the men's 60 meter dash, finishing in fourth place for a time of 7.56 seconds, just .03 seconds behind third. He then placed sixth during his next two events, the men's long jump, jumping 5.40 meters and shot put, throwing 8.23 meters.
- Drew Topoly finished with a new personal best in the men's 5,000 meter distance race, with a time of 15 minutes and 21.33 seconds beating his previous personal best of 15:27.07 last April of 2021.
- Keyshaun Pete competed in the men's triple jump, finishing 16th overall, jumping 12.56 meters, just 0.11m short of top 15.
