SALEM, Va. Methodist men's and women's track and field competed Saturday in the Roanoke Invitational Challenge in Salem, Va. As a team, Methodist performed very well, setting and breaking multiple personal records during the event.

OTHER TOP PERFORMANCES
- Drew Topoly placed 4th in both the men's one-mile run and 800-meter run, breaking his own school record in the one-mile for a time of four minutes and 16.96 seconds, shaving off six seconds from his previous record. Topoly's time for the 800m was 1:58.51.
- In the men's long jump, Aaron Nash placed 2nd, jumping 6.60m, just 0.2m short of 1st place.
- Tamir Simmons tallied a new personal record in the men's 400m for a time of 54.56 seconds.
- Caroline Stubblefield also scored a new personal record in the women's one mile, for a time of 6:04.05, finishing in 16th place, just one place behind Courtney Drumm with a 6:03.62 time.
- In the women's 400m, Macie Szlach scored a new personal best with a time of 1:11.93.
