JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. Methodist made a large jump in the leaderboard Sunday but was unable to land top three, capturing fourth in the final standings, two strokes behind Carnegie Mellon University (299-300-298—897, +33).
Two Methodist golfers played into the top 15 of the 120-participant field, led by
Jillian Drinkard (70-74-72—216, E) tie for fifth-place finish and
Ingrid Steingrimsen (77-74-70—221, +5) finished tied for 12th.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Drinkard had a solid performance on the course, hitting four birdies on the front nine, to start the day two-under. She finished the day at even par, only dropping one place in the leaderboards to tie for fifth.
- The biggest climber on the leaderboard for the Monarchs was Steingrimsen, recording her best round of the Invitational on Sunday. Steingrimsen began the day in 31st place but finished the tournament tied for 12th, after hitting three birdies on the front nine to finish two-under par.
- Also climbing the chart on Sunday was Natalie Brosig (79-80-75—234, +18), who moved up 15 spots to finish tied for 54th after posting her best round of the tournament.
- Emily Gresham (75-76-82-233, +17) and Maggie Williams (76-78-86-240, +24) struggled on Sunday and dropped in the leaderboards as Gresham finished tied for 46th and Williams tied 67th.
