HOW IT HAPPENED
- She started off on the back nine and bogey then birdie back-to-back holes to stay even until hole 15, a bogey. Before Drinkard made the turn to the front nine she would go three under on a par five, at No. 18, for an albatross. Her day concluded after making three more bogeys to two birdies.
- Sitting just two strokes behind Drinkard is teammate Ingrid Steingrimsen, who shot a one over 73. Her front nine had three birdies and bogeys apiece followed by a birdie and two bogeys on the back nine. Right now she is slotted in second place.
- Coming in a tie for third overall with a two over 74 are the freshman duo of Emily Gresham and Natalie Brosig. Gresham's only blemish on the back nine was just one bogey but would clear that up with a birdie on hole No.3 of the front. She looked solid the rest of the way until double bogeying her final hole of the day.
- Brosig wrapped up hole Nos.10-18 going two over after bogeying on 13 & 14. She worked herself back to even by making consecutive birdies on Nos. 5 & 6, but hit some unfortunate luck by bogeying Nos. 7 & 8.
- Maggie Williams is the final member to compete today and she posted a six over 78 on the day. She had a rough end to her back nine as she double bogeyed twice and bogeyed, but also made a birdie. With that four over score heading into the turn, she added two more bogeys to her card to find herself in sixth place.
