HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jillian Drinkard continues to lead the pack after going even par 72 today and a total of one under 143. She made two bogeys and one birdie on the front nine before adding two additional bogeys and three birdies on the back nine.
- Moving up one spot to put herself in a tie for second overall was Emily Gresham, and the lady she is tied with is fellow Methodist golfer Ingrid Steingrimsen. Gresham, who shot a three over 75, was in a groove from hole Nos. 1-6 as she made five pars and a birdie. She then went into a slight funk by posting bogey on her next four before settling down parring six of her eight last holes, along with one birdie and bogey, to give her a total score of five over 149.
- Steingrimsen got into some early trouble to begin the round by double bogeying her second hole then two holes later bogeyed. Those were her only two blemishes on her first nine as she was able to go two over with a birdie to help out. She also went two over on her last nine with three bogeys and a birdie to give her a four over 76 for the day and a total of 149 (+5).
- Slipping down a slot to fourth place was Natalie Brosig (74-76–150, +6) after carding a 76 (+4), which brings her total to six over 150. She was pretty steady through her first four holes by making par before a double bogey and two bogeys, including a birdie, on her last five found her three over. Her bogey troubles would follow her into the turn as bogeyed three of the next five, but she finished strong by converting two birdies during her last four holes.
- Maggie Williams (78-79–157, +13) saw her day end with a 79 (+7), for a grand total of 13 over 157 for the tournament. Her 18 holes consisted of five bogeys, two double bogeys, and two birdies. She is now in a tie for sixth place heading into her final trip around the course.
