MOUNT BERRY, Ga. Competing at the NCAA DIII Southeast Regional Championships on Saturday, the Methodist Cross Country teams finished in 19th on the men's side and 22nd in the women's race. Sophomore
Alex Topoly was the top finisher for the Monarch men, while the Methodist women were led by freshman
Makalyn Wilms.

MONARCH NOTES
- Alex Topoly paced the Monarchs in the men's race with a PR time of 26:58.43 Behind him was senior Will Gray, who recorded a time of 28:18.68.
- Less than four seconds behind Gray, Logan Williams clocked in at 28:22.60. Finishing fourth for Methodist was Noah Carter with a time of 28:44.71.
- Rafael Shilengitha finished fifth for the Monarchs at 29:35.74, followed by Landon Faircloth (30:15.07 PR) and Gabe Sawyer (31:02.56).
- Makalyn Wilms shaved three one-hundredths of a second off her time at the USA South Championships, recording a time of 27:48.97 on Saturday. Methodist's next best finisher among the women was Adriana Blakeney, who ran a 32:14.19.
- Closely trailing Blakeney, Niya Johnson (32:27.73) and Imani Kee (32:38.25) finished third and fourth for the Monarch women, followed by Charmaine Robison (39:09.69).
