FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Methodist University's head cross country coach William Helms has announced the 2026 fall campaign for the Monarchs men's and women's cross country squads, beginning with the Downback Invitational at home on Friday, September 4th at 10:00 AM.
 
The month of September will feature two additional races at the Wilmington Beach Blast, hosted by the University of North Carolina at Wilmington on Saturday, September 12th, beginning at 7:00 AM. The Monarchs will compete at the Central Children's Home Cross Country Festival on Saturday, September 26th, slated for 2:25 PM.
 
Methodist will conclude the regular season at the Livingstone XC Invitational, hosted by Livingstone College on Friday, October 9th, commencing the race at 11:00 AM.
 
Playoff season will roll around shortly after, kicking things off for the Monarchs at the USA South Conference Championship, hosted by Brevard College on Friday, October 30th with the first race beginning at 10:00 AM. The NCAA Division III South Regional Championship, hosted by the University of Lynchburg, will soon follow for Methodist on Saturday, November 14th with the start time scheduled for 11:00 AM.
