SALEM, Va. The Methodist University women's cross country team, along with one representative from the men's squad, closed out their 2025 season on Saturday at the NCAA Division III South Regional Championship, hosted by Roanoke College at Green Hill Park.

MONARCH NOTES
- Freshman Chance McCubbin was the lone representative for the Methodist men, and he turned in a strong performance, running a personal-best 27:18.7 to place 80th in the 8K.
- On the women's side, freshman Leilani Rankin led the Monarchs with a personal-best 26:47.9, finishing 127th. Fellow freshman Savanna Alvarado crossed next for Methodist, posting a time of 28:56.7 to place 156th.
- Freshmen Yamile Lopez Dominguez (29:51.1) and Kamiya McNeill (29:52.4) finished just one second apart in 160th and 162nd place, respectively — with McNeill recording a new 6K career best. Rounding out the lineup, freshman Mally King placed 165th with a time of 30:39.4.
