SALEM, Va. Methodist men's and women's track & field teams were located at two different venues on Saturday.
Drew Topoly was up at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational to run in the 3,000-meter and 5,000-meter races. Everyone else in the program was at the Joe LaRocco Invitational.

TOP PERFORMANCES (David Hemery)
- The first event D. Topoly ran in was the men's 5k, where he would smash the school record by 20 seconds. His 14 minutes, 55.16 seconds time took down the previous record of 15:15.31, which was set back in 2007 by Husein Nasiro-Sigo.
- Later that evening, D. Topoly participated in the men's 3k, where he ran a 8:28.61. That breaks his own school record, 8:30.41, that he set a few weeks ago.
TOP PERFORMANCES (Joe LaRooco)
- Three Monarchs placed in the top-10 of the men's long jump with Aaron Nash winning the event following a leap of 6.88 meters. Micah McCorvey (6.33m) and Isaiah Cuthrell (6.26m) came in sixth and eighth respectively.
- Nash also ran in the 60m dash for the men. He clocked a 7.13 in the prelims to qualify him for the finals, where he came in eighth overall after a 7.15 sprint.
- Doing well in the men's 60m hurdles was McCorvey. He qualified for the finals after running a 9.96 in the prelims and would finish in seventh following a time of 9.55.
- Kayla Mitchell time of 1:01.92 during the women's 400m was good enough for a fifth-place finish.
- Coming in sixth place, while recording a new personal record, was Courtney Drumm in the women's 800m. She finished in a time of 2:31.19.

Methodist has the next two weeks to get ready for the Division III Atlantic Indoor Championships. This event will be held on Friday, February 24, inside the JDL FastTrack facility.
