FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.  The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its 2024 Division III Men's ITA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams, recognizing Methodist and three Monarch student-athletes.
 
Wills Belser, Harry Crokam and Matthew Hurley were all selected as Scholar-Athletes, having earned at least a 3.50 GPA during the 2023-2024 academic year.
 
The trio of tennis players earned All-Conference honors in April, with Hurley making the USA South's First Team and Belser and Crokam making the Second Team. In June, all three were named to the USA South's Academic All-Conference Team.
 
Methodist earned recognition as one of the ITA's All-Academic Teams by posting a team GPA of 3.20 or higher. The Monarchs went 10-7 overall in 2024 and appeared in the semifinal round of the USA South Athletic Conference Tournament.
 
Belser, Crokam and Hurley are three of 1,079 total Division III men's student-athletes named ITA Scholar-Athletes in 2024, while Methodist is one of 129 Division III men's programs to earn the All-Academic Team distinction.
