Records: Methodist 1-9 (0-7 USA South), Greensboro 3-7 (2-5 USA South)
Location: Pride Field; Greensboro, North Carolina
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Greensboro opened the game with a steady drive deep into Methodist territory, but the Monarch defense held firm, stopping the Pride on a 4th-and-5 inside the 20-yard line.
- Methodist, however, was intercepted on its opening possession, setting up Greensboro's first scoring drive. The Pride marched 69 yards in 10 plays, capped by quarterback Cameron Turner's 10-yard scramble for the touchdown. With the PAT, Greensboro led 7–0.
- A short kickoff gave the Monarchs favorable field position, and freshman quarterback Kolbe Little guided a nine-play scoring drive. Little carried three times for 22 yards on the march and finished it off with a two-yard keeper for his first collegiate rushing touchdown. The PAT was blocked, keeping the Pride ahead 7–6.
- Both teams traded punts before a momentum swing in Methodist's favor. Greensboro's punt returner muffed a catch, and senior Kadin Beaver pounced on the loose ball at the Pride's 31-yard line. Methodist capitalized with a 22-yard Ethan Emery field goal to take a 9–7 lead.
- After a scoreless third quarter, the Monarchs extended that lead early in the fourth. After driving down to the Greensboro three-yard line, Methodist stalled but again turned to Emery, whose 24-yard kick made it 12–7.
- A couple of drives later, Greensboro responded with the game's decisive sequence. Turner ran for 12 yards, then found Shamar Privette for a 78-yard catch and run, flipping the lead back to the Pride, 13–12. The two-point attempt failed, keeping it a one-point margin.
- Methodist had one final possession but was unable to advance the ball, turning it over on downs to close out the contest.
