CONCORD, N.C. The Methodist track & field teams culminated the outdoor track & field season on Saturday, competing in the final day of the USA South Outdoor Championships. The Monarchs claimed All–Conference honors in 14 different events, adding to the four events from
Friday's action that they earned All–Conference distinctions in.
In the overall team standings, Methodist finished third in the men's championship and fourth in the women's championship.

TOP MEN'S PERFORMERS
- Logan Wade and Tydrick Stewart were again a 1–2 finish in the 100m final, crossing the line with times of 10.90 and 10.98 seconds. The duo earned first–team and second–team honors respectively.
- Also earning all–conference honors in the 200m final, Stewart narrowly edged out Wade as the pair took second and third with times of 22.21 and 22.44 seconds.
- In the 110m hurdles, Micah McCorvey used a personal–best time of 15.96 seconds to capture second place and a spot on the All–Conference Second Team.
- Representing the Monarchs in the high jump, Carland Jones took second place by matching his season–best mark of 1.95m.
- Methodist took the top two spots on the podium in the triple jump. David Dennis garnered first–team status with a leap of 14.01m, while Jeremiah Freeman earned second–team laurels with a jump of 13.98m. Both marks were personal records.
- The Monarchs captured first place in the 4x100m relay with a time of 41.79 seconds, using a squad of Dennis, Stewart, Wade and A'Jani Mainer. In the 4x400, Komla Akogo, Rafael Shilengitha, Richard Schieferstein and Xavier Wilborn earned bronze for Methodist with a time of 3:31.54.
TOP WOMEN'S PERFORMERS
- Treazure Rosario Watson shined brightly in numerous events during the weekend. In the 200m final, she took third with a personal–record time of 25.60 seconds. She posted a season–best of 58.36 seconds in the 400m, finishing second. She also took second–team honors in the triple jump with a mark of 11.05m.
- After a third–place finish in the preliminary round, Katena Morrison held onto third in the 100m hurdles final, finishing in 17.05 seconds for a Third Team All–Conference accolade. She claimed second–team honors in the 400m hurdles, blazing across the finish line at a personal–best pace of 1:08.58.
- Rebecca McGaughnea added to her all–conference honor from day one with a third–place finish in the discus throw, recording a mark of 32.78m.
- Methodist took third in the 4x100m relay with a squad of Rosario Watson, Erykalyn Neal, Quierra Hawkins and Kayleen Grullon. They posted a season–best time of 49.99 seconds.
