SPARTANBURG, S.C. For the 35th time in program history, the Methodist men's golf team has claimed the USA South Athletic Conference Tournament title. The Monarchs ran away with first place, outpacing the next–best team by 54 strokes.
Methodist took the top four spots on the player leaderboard, with
Caleb Ryan storming through the final round to capture the medalist honors.

FINAL ROUND
- Entering the day one stroke behind the leader, Ryan had an inconsistent start, carding bogey-birdie-bogey-birdie for his first four holes. From there, the senior locked in, making birdie on eight of the final 14 holes. He sank one more bogey on his final green but still ended with a career–low 65 (–7) for the round.
- Beau Brewer had his best round of the tournament, shooting under par for the first time in three days. The junior began the day with a bogey but bounced back to finish his first nine holes at three–strokes under par. With a pair of birdies and a pair of bogeys on the second half of the day, he finished the round with a 69 (–3) and took fourth place overall with a +2.
- Chase Walts was the overall leader coming into Wednesday's round and played well enough to finish in second. He was the only Monarch to not bogey the opening hole (Hole 10) but sat at even par at the turn with two birdies and two bogeys to his name. After bogeying Hole 2 on the latter half of the day, Walts responded with back–to–back birdies on 4 and 5 to end the round at 71 (–1) and finish the tournament with a –3.
- Aiden Spampinato moved up two spots on the leaderboard with a consistent final round. After bogeying two of the first three holes, he birdied on Hole 18, then played a clean second half with one birdie, ending the round at even par. His three–day score came out to be +1.
- Haden Ruby saw five bogeys drop on during the final round while carding a single birdie on Hole 2. At four strokes over par on the day, he still maintained a top–10 placement, taking eighth overall with a +7 score for the tournament.

The Monarchs have clinched a spot in the NCAA Tournament, which will take place May 20–23 in Rochester, New York.
