FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Methodist Athletics saw seven teams in action on Saturday, including four at home. The Monarchs recorded five team wins while also displaying some incredible individual performances throughout the day. Below are results and box scores for each contest.
In women's lacrosse, the Monarchs reigned supreme in a 24–1 victory at home over Huntingdon College while honoring nine seniors and graduate students.
Layla Wiesenfeld led the way with four goals, while
Macey Blackburn dished out a career–high six assists.

The second game of the day in Monarch Stadium also featured the Monarchs and the Huntingdon Hawks. This time it was the Methodist men's lacrosse team capturing a 13–3 win, led by three–time goal scorer
Cy Horner. With two goals on the afternoon,
Ryan Kavounis reached 100 goals scored in his collegiate career.

The track and field teams competed at the Braves Classic hosted by UNC Pembroke.
Tydrick Stewart captured second place in the men's 100–meter final with a time of 10.56 seconds.

D'Zariya Paran were just a few of the other Monarchs who excelled.
RESULTS
The Monarchs took two wins over Brevard College in baseball, scoring 13 runs in each contest. In the 13–1 victory (7 innings),
Tristen Melvin batted 3–for–3 with five RBIs. In the 13–4 win, Methodist batters totaled 18 hits.

In men's tennis, Methodist swept Southern Virginia 7–0 in Buena Vista, Virginia.
Matthew Hurley handled business at the No. 1 spot in both singles and doubles.

The Monarchs did not fare as well against the Knights in women's tennis, falling at Southern Virginia by a score a 5–2.
Veva Willocks and
Madelyn Parker won their respective matches in the singles round.

Methodist fell during both games of Saturday's softball doubleheader versus Greensboro College. The Monarchs lost the first game 14–0 (5 innings) before dropping the second game 4–0.
Alyssa Rivas batted 3–for–3 on the day with three walks.

The men's tennis team takes on non–conference opponent Randolph College on Sunday at 9 a.m. in Lynchburg, Virginia, while the baseball and softball squads both play at home. The softball team will face William Peace University in a doubleheader at Price Field beginning at 1 p.m. on Sunday while the baseball team wraps up its series with Brevard in a final game at 1 p.m. at Armstrong–Shelley Field.
