  • Walts began his first round with a bogey but parred the next 11 holes. A bogey on hole 13 added another stroke to his total, but he erased that with a birdie on 17. Now at one-over heading into his last hole of the day, Walts double-bogeyed 18 to finish the round.
  • In a tie for 75th, senior Aiden Spampinato scored a four-over 76 in his first round. He made three bogeys and a birdie on each half of the course.
  • Seniors Caleb Ryan and Haden Ruby are tied for 100th after each recorded a five-over 77 on the first day. Ryan had a solid start, registering two bogeys and a birdie on the front nine, and began the back nine exceptionally well with another birdie. However, the damage occurred between holes 11 and 15, where he bogeyed three times and double bogeyed once.
  • It was a challenging start for Ruby as he bogeyed five of his first six holes. Throughout the remaining holes, he had an up-and-down day, making a couple of birdies before recording three more bogeys, but he also birdied one more time.
