FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. On Friday, Keven Williams, head football coach at Methodist University, announced the program's schedule for the 2025 season. The schedule includes three non-conference opponents and seven teams from the USA South Athletic Conference.
The Monarchs will kick off their campaign on September 6 with a road game against Shenandoah University. This marks Methodist's fourth trip to Winchester, Virginia, since 2019.
On September 13, the Monarchs will make their home debut against Guilford College, a team they have faced regularly since the inaugural season. After a bye in week three, Methodist is set to host the Apprentice School on September 27, marking their first meeting since 2016.
In October, Methodist will begin with a road trip to Montgomery, Alabama, to play Huntingdon College on October 4, which also marks the start of conference play. The only home game for the month will occur on October 11, when the Monarchs welcome LaGrange College to Fayetteville.
The team will embark on a two-game road trip in the following weeks, beginning with a visit to Southern Virginia University on October 18. They will then travel to Mississippi to take on Belhaven University on October 25.
The early part of November will feature the Monarchs' final home games of the season. On November 1, conference rival North Carolina Wesleyan University will visit Monarch Stadium, followed by Brevard College traveling across the state to play Methodist in the home finale on November 8. This game against the Tornados will also serve as a celebration for Monarch Nation, as it coincides with Homecoming weekend and Senior Day.
Finally, Methodist will conclude the 2025 season with an away game at Greensboro College on November 15.
