HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. The seventh-ranked Methodist University men's golf team moved into contention at the 2025 NCAA Division III Fall Preview after carding a 292 (+4) in Monday's second round at Mission Inn Resort. The Monarchs now sit tied for second with a two-round total of 578 (+6) heading into the final day.

SECOND ROUND
- Haden Ruby powered the Monarchs with a season-low four under 68, tying him for second place individually at 138 (-5). Ruby led the field with seven birdies in the round, including three on front nine and four more on the back.
- Jonny Lewis followed with a one-over 73, climbing into a tie for 22nd at 145 (+2). Lewis opened with a birdie on his first hole and stayed steady throughout the round, picking up three more birdies on the back nine to go even par coming in.
- Beau Brewer sits tied for 33rd after his three-over 75 left him at 147 (+4). Brewer struggled on the front side but added a birdie on the back to steady his score.
- Jack Haeflinger carded a 76 (+4) for a two-round total of 148 (+5), tying him for 44th. Despite a rough front nine, Haeflinger rallied with three birdies on the back to finish even par over the closing stretch.
- It was a rough day two for Aiden McCall, who posted a ten-over par 82. Without a birdie on his card, McCall dropped into a tie for 111th at 160 (+17).
