LEXINGTON, Va. The Methodist men's and women's track & field teams competed in the VMI Winter Classic on Saturday, with several individuals achieving new personal bests.

TOP TRACK PERFORMANCES
- Tydrick Stewart set a new PR in the men's 60-meter prelims with a time of 6.96 seconds. In the final, Logan Wade was Methodist's top finisher, taking fourth place with a time of 6.94 seconds. Stewart took home fourth in the men's 200-meter race, posting a time of 22.43 seconds.
- In the women's 200-meters, Leilani Rankin clocked a new personal best at 26.25 seconds, claiming 11th place out of 39 runners while Treazure Rosario Watson's season-best time of 26.48 earned her a 13th-place finish.
- Vondre Nelson produced a personal record in the men's 400-meter race, finishing in 54.43 seconds to edge out Gavyn Thomas, who logged a 54.59.
- Rafael Shilengitha generated a new PR in the men's mile run with a time of 4:46.29.
TOP FIELD PERFORMANCES
- Jarius Fajardo took second in the men's high jump, clearing a mark of 1.95 meters.
- Kaleb Nelson's toss of 12.63 meters in the men's shot put was a personal best and earned him sixth place out of 24 throwers. Nelson also set a personal record in the weight throw with a mark of 11.98 meters, while Tristan Bowser's toss of 10.32 meters was his personal best.
