FAYETTEVILLE, N.C The Methodist men's lacrosse team delivered a dominant performance Wednesday afternoon at Monarch Stadium, overwhelming Bethany College, 24–1, in non-conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Methodist wasted little time taking control of the contest, erupting for six goals in the opening quarter while holding Bethany scoreless. Jay Legg and J.R. Newman helped spark the early offensive surge as the Monarchs controlled possession and generated consistent scoring opportunities. By the end of the first 15 minutes, Methodist had already built a commanding 6–0 advantage.
- The Monarchs continued their offensive onslaught in the second quarter, pouring in 12 more goals to extend the lead to 18–0 by halftime. Methodist's attack was balanced throughout the period, with multiple players finding the back of the net while the defense limited Bethany's opportunities and maintained firm control of the pace of play.
- After the break, Bethany managed to break through with its lone goal of the game in the third quarter, but Methodist quickly responded with three more scores to stretch the lead to 21–1 heading into the final period.
