MONTGOMERY, Ala. The Methodist men's lacrosse team handled business away from home on Saturday, defeating Huntingdon College by seven goals. With the win, the Monarchs move to 4-2 in USA South play with two regular-season games left to go.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- LJ Oby got the Monarchs on the board with a goal just over four minutes in, forcing a turnover and scooping up a ground ball on one end of the field before blowing by the defense for the score. However, the Hawks answered with the next three goals to boast a 3-1 lead at the end of the first quarter.
- The second quarter was all Methodist, beginning with a Jacob Burnette goal that was quickly followed by a Jay Legg goal. The Monarchs then netted a pair of scores in the final minute of the period, with Legg scoring at the :47 mark and J.R. Newman putting one in with :04 left in the half.
- With a two-goal lead in hand to start the second half, the Monarchs conceded a score to Huntingdon that allowed the Hawks to pull within one halfway through the third quarter. The Methodist offense went to work in response, scoring four straight to take an 9-4 advantage. After a Huntingdon goal with a minute remaining in the third, Logan Garrett found the back of the net just in time to beat the buzzer.
- Methodist outscored Huntingdon 3-1 in the final quarter, with Garrett producing two more goals.
