NORMAN, Okla. The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Wednesday that
Steve Conley has been named one of five finalists for the 2026 Division III Dave Williams National Coach of the Year Award, presented by Golf Pride Grips.
A nine-time national coach of the year, Conley guided Methodist University to another standout season in 2026. The Monarchs recorded six top-five finishes and two tournament victories, highlighted by their recent USA South Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship title. Methodist currently sits No. 5 in the Scoreboard powered by Clippd rankings.
Three Monarch golfers —
Beau Brewer,
Todd Moyer, and
Haden Ruby — also earned NCAA Division III PING All-Region honors earlier this week as the Monarchs continue competition at the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship.
Methodist enters this year's national championship seeking its 16th national title in program history under Conley's leadership.
