FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.  Methodist University head football coach Keven Williams announced the Monarchs' 2026 football schedule on Friday. The 10-game slate features three non-conference contests and seven USA South Athletic Conference matchups.

Methodist opens the season under the lights on Friday, Sept. 4, hosting Shenandoah University at 6 PM. It marks the seventh time in the last nine seasons the Monarchs and Hornets have met in the season opener.

The Monarchs then spend the next three weeks away from home, beginning with a 7 PM kickoff at Guilford College on Saturday, Sept. 12. Following a bye week, Methodist returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 26, traveling to The Apprentice School for a 1 PM contest.

USA South play begins on Saturday, Oct. 3, when the Monarchs welcome Huntingdon College to Fayetteville for a 1 PM kickoff. The following week, Methodist travels to defending conference champion LaGrange College for another 1 PM game on Oct. 10.

The Monarchs return home on Oct. 17 to celebrate Homecoming against Southern Virginia University at 1 PM. One week later, Methodist heads to North Carolina Wesleyan University for a 6 PM conference matchup on Oct. 24.

Methodist closes out October by hosting Belhaven University on Halloween (Oct. 31) at 1 PM. The Monarchs then travel to Brevard College on Nov. 7 for a noon kickoff, the earliest start time on the 2026 schedule.

The regular season concludes on Saturday, Nov. 14, when Methodist returns to Monarch Stadium to host Greensboro College at 6 PM.
