GREENSBORO, N.C. - Methodist University junior Kristyn Zeiler competed at the South/Southeast Regional Cross Country Championships Saturday morning and finished 14th amongst 189 competitors. Zeiler finished the 6K race in 24:29.

The top two teams from each regional championship advances to the NCAA Division III National Championship along with the top seven individuals not part of the qualifying teams. After Rhodes College and Emory University placed first and second in the team competition, Zeiler was the eighth individual to finish, just shy of earning the national bid.

Caitlin Masse of Trinity University (Tex.) won the individual title finishing in 22:56. Zeiler finished her 2009 season with three wins in six meets while earning the 2009 USA South Female Runner of the Year honors.
