FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Saturday, Sept. 12 will be a busy day at Methodist University with home football and soccer games in conjunction with Family Weekend. For fans who can't make it to the game, track the game at home with a webcast or live stats.
The Methodist University football team will host Guilford College at 1 pm in the team's first home game of the season. Both teams are hoping to get their first win at Monarch Stadium.
MidSouth Sports is back to broadcast all of the Methodist home games this season. Fans can hear the game on WAZZ 1490 AM locally or log on to
Future Media World to listen to the game via the internet. Scroll down and click the link for Live Games once the broadcast begins at 12:30 pm.
Also playing at home this weekend are the men's and women's soccer teams. Both teams will be competing as part of the Soccer for a Cure Classic. The Methodist men will play at 10 am on Saturday and 12 pm on Sunday while the women will play at 2 pm each day. The tournament will hope to raise money for
"Soccer For A Cure," a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization. Its purpose is to serve as a place where all levels of the Soccer nation (youth, club, high school, college, adult, and professional) can "Stand Together as a Team" to help families fight the battle against all types of cancer. Fans who can't make it to the game can also follow the games on live stats.
