Frostburg Picks Up Win Over Monarchs

Methodist picked up eight caused turnovers

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The game was tied early, but Frostburg used a 7-0 run late in the first half to take control and earn the 19-3 win.

Frostburg scored first, but Methodist's Abby Harmon came back with a goal with 27:19 remaining to tie the game at one. Frostburg scored the next five goals before Amber Jurkvoac scored on a free position. The Bobcats came back with the next seven goals to lead 13-2 at halftime.

Methodist's Jasmine Stephens opened the second half with a goal, but Frostburg scored the next six goals to finish with the 19-3 win.

Emily Forester made five saves for Methodist. Karoline Miller and Naomi Swann combined for 11 stops for Frostburg.

Methodist will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Shenandoah for an 11 a.m. start.
