ASHLAND, Va. -- The Methodist women's golf team shot 325 in the final round of the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by Randolph-Macon and finished in third place.

MU finished with a two-day score of 645 (320-325) and wound up 12 strokes back of event winner Washington and Lee (323-310--633). Kutztown took second place at 638 (323-315) followed by the Green and Gold, Bridgewater (329-332--661) and Randolph-Macon (342-329--671) in the Top 5. The Methodist "B" team finished in sixth place with a score of 678 (332-346).

Gabriella Gunawan led the Monarchs' "A" team with a fifth-place finish. She shot 77 on Sunday and finished at 155 (78-77).
Meghan Bickford turned in an 84 and wound up in a tie for 10th place at 162 (78-84).

Gina Battistone also shot 84 in the final round and was tied for 12th (80-84--164), while Brianna Sweeny (84-82--166) and
Megan Webster (86-82--168) tied for 14th and 19th, respectively.

For the MU "B" team,
Lauren Ceyrolles led the way, tying for 14th place after rounds of 82 and 84 (166).
Sydney Syster was tied for 22nd at 170 (82-88).
Sienna Fucci (86-85--171) and
Elizabeth Leavitt (82-90--172) were right on Syster's heels in 25th and 26th place, and
Ashley Roggero finished in a tie for 40th with a score of 182 (93-89).

Methodist is back on the course on Apr. 11, when its hosts its own invitational.
