ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Methodist men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to Coe in Orlando on Monday afternoon.
The Kohawks won all three doubles matches to take an early 3-0 lead. R.J. Clement and Teal Howard pushed Josh Pudio and Chad Moklestad the distance before ultimately falling, 9-7.
In singles, John Dangerfield secured the lone point for MU, earning a hard-fought 6-4, 2-6, 14-12 win over Alex Bernt at No. 3. Taylor Buchholz dropped a three-set match at No. 2, falling to Riley Galbraith 4-6, 6-2, 10-7.
Methodist is back in action on Thursday when it plays NCAA Div. II Ferris State in the Sunshine State.
