DESTIN, Fla. Methodist completes the Golfweek Division III Fall Invite by finishing with a low-round score of 288 on the final day

Jillian Drinkard (77-72-71—220, 4 over par) just nearly missed the top spot held by Sharon Mun (77-69-73—219, 3 over par) of Emory (Ga.) University by one stroke.

Methodist (314-305-288—907, +43) moved up one spot to take fourth place.

ROUND 3 NOTES

• Drinkard began her day with two bogeys on the first three holes. A birdie at hole No. 4 put her 1 over par entering the turn. She cruised along with five straight pars before eagling the 15th hole. Closing out the final three holes with a bogey, par, and birdie gave her 1 under par score for the round.
• Ingrid Steingrimsen (75-77-73—225, +9) was looking good as she started with four straight pars followed by back-to-back birdies, but bogeyed twice in the last three of the front nine to go even par. She would finish in a tie for 9th overall after two bogeys and a birdie on the back nine for a 1 over par score.
• Freshman Ava Lucas (82-77-70—229, +13) improved on her score from yesterday to jump 21 spots to a tie for 25th. She pared seven straight holes following an early bogey and birdie, within the first three holes, to then making birdies on hole Nos. 11 & 16 to go 2 under par for the round.
• Just like her fellow classmate, Emily Gresham (80-79-74—233, +17) also moved up in the standings but only nine positions for a tie for 37th place. She was doing well through the first seven holes, of the beginning nine, being 1 under par before bogeying her last two shots for 1 over par. A couple more bogeys and a birdie on the final nine saw her finish with 2 over par.  
• In a tie for 52nd is Maggie Williams (84-80-75—239, +23). Similar to yesterday, she had a first third that consisted of four bogeys before making it up by birdieing two of the next six. Her final six added another bogey to end with a 3 over par for the day.

Methodist plays their final event of the fall season next week at the Chick-Fil-A Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
