ROME, Ga. The Methodist women's golf team looks to defend its conference title next week at the 2022 USA South Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will take place April 18-20 (Monday-Wednesday) at Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, S.C.
The Monarchs head into the postseason ranked No. 4 in both the current Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll and in the GolfStat rankings.
Methodist won the inaugural USA South championship by 93 strokes at Belmont Lake Golf Club in Rocky Mount, N.C. Monarchs top golfer
Jillian Drinkard, currently ranked No. 2 in the nation, won the medalist honors last year with a three-round 215 (-1) and will look to defend her individual crown as well. Teammates
Ingrid Steingrimsen and
Maggie Williams were also a part of that squad & respectively finished in second and in a tie for third place a season ago.
