CORAL SPRINGS, Florida The Women's Golf Coaches Association has announced the recipient of the 2022 Inkster Award for Division III, with Jillian Drinkard of Methodist University recieving this honor.
The Inkster Award recognizes the highest ranked women's collegiate golfer on Golfstat in her final year of NCAA eligibility. The award is presented separately to the top Division I, II and III players. The recipient must be academically eligible per NCAA rules and have played a minimum of 12 rounds during the year.
Drinkard posted a scoring average of 72.09 to finish the 2021-22 season ranked second on Golfstat. The Appomattox, Virginia native earned WGCA First-Team All-America honors after finishing in the top-10 in all nine tournaments during the season. The USA South Athletic Conference Player of the Year won three tournaments and finished in a tie for third at the National Collegiate Athletic Association 2022 Women's Golf Championships.
