GREENSBORO, N.C. After starting the day in a tie for fourth, Third-ranked Methodist University men's golf walks away as the tournament winners of the 2024 O'Briant-Jensen Memorial on Tuesday. The Monarchs shot six-over par 290 in the second round, making their two-day event total 584 (+16).
This is also the 14th time Methodist has won this event while under the guidance of head coach
Steve Conley.

ROUND 2
- Senior Haden Ruby held onto his shared runner-up spot in the individual leaderboard after he scored a two-over par 73 in the last round, which put his tournament total at 142 (E). He made four birdies to balance out the matching bogeys but also had one double bogey on his scorecard.
- Fellow seniors Chase Walts and Aiden Spampinato finished the event in a tie for 10th, with accumulated totals of 147 (+5). Walts shot an even-par 71 in the second round with five birdies, while Spampinato posted a one-over par 72 and made three birdies.
- Sophomore Davis Linhardt placed in the top 15, 13th overall, after he scored three-over par 74 for the second consecutive day, with his two-round total being 148 (+6). He had all the same marks as his first-round scorecard with the addition of one more bogey and birdie.
- Coming in a tie for 42nd, senior Corbin Walker, whose total score is 156 (+14), carded a four-over par 75 his second time out on the course. He was excellent through his first 11 holes, ten pars & one birdie, before experiencing some bumps down the stretch (two double bogeys, two bogeys, and a birdie).

This concludes the fall portion of the schedule for the defending national champions. Methodist is off until the spring, with the team's next tournament being the Savannah Invitational from March 3–4.
