JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. No. 9 Methodist men's golf delivered a standout performance in the second round of the 2026 Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational on Saturday, firing a 12-under par 276. The strong round propelled the Monarchs up four spots into a tie for fourth place at 16-under (560) heading into the final day.

ROUND TWO
- Senior Beau Brewer continued his impressive tournament with a career-low round for the second consecutive day, carding a six-under 66. Brewer recorded a career-best seven birdies, moving into a tie for second place overall with a two-round score of 133 (-11).
- Junior Todd Moyer also turned in a career performance, shooting a three-under 69. With four birdies on the day, Moyer climbed 22 spots on the leaderboard and is now tied for 25th at 141 (-3).
- Sophomore William Plageman posted an even-par 72 in the second round, highlighted by four birdies. He currently sits in a tie for 30th with a two-day total of 142 (-2).
- Senior Haden Ruby made the biggest jump among the Monarchs, soaring 36 spots into a tie for 49th. Ruby carded a three-under 69 with four birdies and now holds an even-par total of 144.
- Rounding out the lineup, senior Jonny Lewis recorded an even-par 72 with two birdies and is tied for 77th at 147 (+3).

Methodist looks to make a final push up the leaderboard in the third round on Sunday, March 22. The Monarchs are scheduled to begin teeing off at 9:50 AM.
