FIRST ROUND
  • Senior captain Cameron Cappuzzo had the best first round for Methodist, as he posted a one-over 72. He started the day with back-to-back bogeys before a birdie brought him down to one-over heading into the turn. During his back half, two bogeys and a birdie had him at one-over again until he closed out his day with a birdie on hole 18.
  • Aiden Spampinato, who shot a four-over 75 on day one, was at even-par following a front half that saw him card two bogeys & two birdies. He stayed even through his first five holes on the back nine until a stretch of two bogeys and a double bogey put him four-over.
  • Both Cooper Hrabak and David D'Agostino posted identical scores of five-over 76 in the first round. Through his first nine holes, Hrabak had two bogeys, two birdies, and a double bogey to go two-over. Then two additional birdies, a bogey, and a quadruple bogey added three more strokes to his total.
  • D'Agostino looked good following a front half that saw him score a one-over, two bogeys and a birdie. Another birdie on the back half evened up his scorecard before three bogeys and a double bogey, during his last five holes, put him at five-over.
  • It was a frustrating day for Chase Walts, who shot nine-over 80 in the opening round. A bogey and a quadruple bogey, within the first three holes, had him at five-over, but he then knocked in back-to-back birdies to shave off two strokes. He finished his day with three more bogeys, two birdies, and a quintuple bogey.
