SPARTANBURG, S.C. Methodist University, ranked No. 2 in the nation, remains in first place after the second round in the 2025 USA South Men's Golf Champions, with the Monarchs scoring a one-under-par 287 on day two. Methodist is the only team in the field to have a sub-par total score, a 572 (-4).

SECOND ROUND
- Having an excellent second round, and jumping into first place individually, Chase Walts scored a three-under 69, making his two-day total 142 (-). He recorded six birdies, a bogey, and a double bogey throughout his second time on the course.
- Caleb Ryan improves on his standing and moves up to second place, after shooting even par in round two. Four birdies and four bogeys helped bring his total score to 143 (-1).
- Aiden Spampinato stays in fifth place with a total score of one-over 145, shooting a 73 (+1) in the second round. It was not an ideal start as he double-bogeyed two of his first five holes, then he wiped out a pair of birdies with back-to-back bogeys. He had a strong finish to the round, with three birdies during his final four holes.
- Haden Ruby had a forgettable day two, as he fell five places into a tie for sixth with a total score of three over 147. He posted a 78 (+6) after recording two bogeys, a double bogey, a triple bogey, and a birdie.
- Jumping four spots into a tie for eighth, Beau Brewer had an improved second round. The highlight of his day was an eagle on a par five, hole 18, to help bring his total score to 149 (+5).

Methodist will wrap up the 2025 USA South Men's Golf Championships on Wednesday, April 30, as the Monarchs play their final round. The first golfer is scheduled to tee off at 9:50 AM.
