ROME, Ga.  After earning a fifth-place individual finish out of 150 golfers at the Jekyll Island Intercollegiate two weeks ago, Methodist's Beau Brewer has been named USA South Men's Golfer of the Week. The senior shot 11 strokes under par across the three-day tournament.
 
Brewer opened with a 67 (-5) in the first round, then followed that up with an even more impressive 66 (-6) on day two. His final round of 72 (E) brought his three-day total to 205 (-11).
 
Brewer was the top golfer for the Monarchs in Jekyll Island, helping lift the team to a seventh-place team finish with a three-day team total of -15.
