ROME, Ga.  The USA South Athletic Conference released its 2026 Women's Indoor Track & Field Pre-Championship Coaches Poll on Tuesday afternoon, with Methodist taking sixth place in the league's annual ranking.

Defending champion Southern Virginia University earned the top spot with 34 points overall and five first-place votes, followed by North Carolina Wesleyan University in second with 31 points and one first-place vote. The final first-place nod went to Meredith College, as the Avenging Angels collected 28 points for third place in the predictions. Just ahead of the Monarchs were Pfeiffer University in fourth place (19 points) and Brevard College in fifth place (15 points). Rounding out the poll, Mary Baldwin University tallied six points for the final spot.

The 2026 USA South Men's and Women's Track & Field Championships will be hosted at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The one-day event will take place on Friday, Feb 27, with field events scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and track events starting at 10:30 a.m.
